Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair



1. Discharge refrigerant system.
2. Remove radiator grille, then the sight glass cover.
3. Disconnect high-pressure hose fitting from receiver/dryer. Plug all open lines to prevent dirt and moisture from entering system.
4. Remove routing clamp bolt securing high-pressure hose to condenser bracket, then remove two bolts securing top of hood latch and center brace.
5. Remove bolt securing bottom of hood latch center brace and lift hood latch out of grille area and position aside.
6. Remove two nuts attaching condenser to radiator core support.





7. Lift condenser allowing mounting grommets to clear their mounts, Fig. 4, then remove condenser. It may be necessary to remove receiver/dryer.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
