Evaporator Core: Service and Repair



1. Remove Evaporator Case as described under ``Evaporator Case, Replace.''
2. Remove air inlet duct from evaporator case.
3. Remove the foam seal from evaporator core tubes.

4. Drill a 3/16 inch hole in both upright tabs on top of evaporator case and two holes in the front.
5. Using a suitable saw, cut top of evaporator case between the raised outlines, Fig. 32.
6. Remove blower motor resistor from evaporator case.
7. Fold the cut out flap from the opening and lift evaporator core from case.
8. Reverse procedure to install, using a suitable sealer to seal evaporator case.
