ISSUE: The windshield wipers may continue operating when the switch is turned off. This occurs because the internal wiper relay can't handle occasional electrical surge loads.

ACTION: Install a new interval wiper relay. Refer to the 1990 Probe Shop Manual, page 35-60-15 for service details.
