Oil Pump: Service and Repair

Fig. 12 Oil Pump Removal:

1. Remove oil pan as previously described.
2. Remove oil pump mounting bolt, Fig. 12.
3. Remove oil pump and intermediate shaft from rear main bearing cap.
4. Pull intermediate shaft out of oil pump.
5. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install intermediate shaft into drive hole in pump assembly.
b. Install oil pump. Tightening to specifications.
c. Install oil pan.
