Affected Vehicles
Certain 1992 Taurus Police Package vehicles built from Job # 1 through 4-27-92.

Reason For This Program
The affected vehicles were inadvertently produced with the 72AH Motorcraft Battery rather than the 84AH Motorcraft Battery as listed in the Ford Specifications Order Guide.

Service Action
To correct this condition, owners of the affected 1992 Taurus Police package vehicles are requested to return to a Ford dealer for a battery inspection. If the originally installed battery (OEM) is a 72AH Motorcraft battery, the Ford dealer will replace the battery with a 84AH Motorcraft battery.
