Fig. 10 Windshield Wiper Transmission Removal:

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Remove wiper arm and blade assemblies from windshield wiper pivot arms.
3. Remove leaf screens from both sides of cowl.
4. Remove linkage drive arm to motor crank arm retaining clip, then separate linkage drive arm from motor crank arm, Fig. 10.
5. Remove pivot arm to cowl attaching screws, then withdraw windshield wiper transmission from cowl chamber.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Torque pivot arm attaching screws to 60-84 inch lbs.
