Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair

Fig. 2 Spring lock coupling disconnect & connect:

1. Discharge refrigerant system and drain coolant.
2. Remove radiator and two support attaching screws.
3. Remove radiator grille and ignition coil.
4. Disconnect and plug refrigerant lines from condenser, refer to Fig. 2, for spring lock operation.
5. Remove condenser mounting nuts from bracket, then remove condenser.
6. Reverse procedure to install. Use new O-rings lubricated with refrigerant oil.
7. Leak test, evacuate and charge refrigerant system.
