Engine Control Module: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Electronic Control Assembly (ECA):






1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Remove the trim panels on the sides of the floor console under the instrument panel.
3. Remove the ventilation duct located in front of the Electronic Control Assembly (ECA).
4. Remove the ECA mounting bolts and nut.

5. Disconnect the ECA electrical connectors.
6. Remove the nut from the fuel pump relay bracket and separate the relay from the ECA.

INSTALLATION
1. Place the ECA into its mounting position.
2. Install the ECA mounting bolts and nut.
3. Connect the ECA electrical connectors.
4. Position the fuel pump relay and install the bracket attaching nut.
5. Install the ventilation duct located in front of the ECA.
6. Install the trim panels on the floor console under the instrument panel.
7. Connect the negative battery cable.
