Front Retractor Assembly

FRONT RETRACTOR ASSEMBLY

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.






2. Remove the parking brake console mounting screws.
3. Lift up the parking brake console, remove the shoulder belts from the console, then remove the parking brake console.






4. Disconnect the front retractor electrical connector.






5. Slide the seat forward, then remove the front retractor mounting bolts and remove the assembly.

INSTALLATION
1. Place the front retractor assembly into its mounting position and install the retractor mounting bolts. Tighten the bolts to 38-78 Nm (28-58 ft lbs).
2. Connect the front retractor electrical connector.
3. Place the shoulder belts through the eyelets in the parking brake console and place the parking brake console into its mounting position.
4. Install the parking brake console mounting screws.
5. Connect the negative battery cable.
6. Check the passive restraint system for proper operation.
