Air Flow Meter/Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect the electrical connector.

Vane Air Flow (VAF) Meter:

3. Remove the air duct.
4. Remove the attaching bolt.

Vane Air Flow (VAF) Meter:

5. Remove the four attaching nuts.

Vane Air Flow (VAF) Meter:

6. Remove the Vane Air Flow (VAF) meter.

Vane Air Flow (VAF) Meter:

7. Remove the gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. Slide a new gasket over the VAF mounting studs.
2. Position the VAF meter and install the attaching nuts. Torque the nuts to 110-152 lb. in. (13-18 N-m).
3. Install the attaching bolt.
4. Install the air duct.
5. Connect the electrical connector.
6. Connect the negative battery cable.
