Valve guides are driven into the cylinder head and can be replaced following the procedure outlined below.
1. Place cylinder head in a water bath heated to approximately 190°F.
2. Using valve guide removing tool No. T87C-6510-A or equivalent, then working from combustion chamber side of cylinder head, drive valve guides out toward camshaft.
3. Using tool mentioned above, drive in new guides. When properly installed, guides should protrude .752-.772 inch above cylinder head as shown in Fig. 6.
