Accumulator HVAC: Service and Repair



1. Discharge refrigerant from system.
2. Remove charcoal canister.
3. Disconnect accumulator/dryer suction line at bulkhead, then remove compressor suction line from accumulator/dryer. Cap suction and evaporator core outlet lines.
4. Remove clutch cycling pressure switch electrical connector, then the two mounting bolts from accumulator/drier mounting bracket, and carefully remove accumulator/drier from vehicle.
5. Reverse procedure to install. Use new O-ring lubricated with refrigerant oil.
6. Leak test, evacuate and charge system.
