LIGHT TRUCK: 1991 RANGER


ISSUE: The MAP sensor is no longer used on the 1991 2.3L EFI (49 State) Ranger. These engines use a Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor. References to the MAP sensor for this engine in the Engine Emissions Diagnosis Shop Manual are incorrect. Revised information must be incorporated into Page 4-1, Page 4-3, and Page 4-4 of the 1991 Engine Emissions Diagnosis Shop Manual EEC-IV Engine Supplement-Truck to update the reference for Ranger 2.3L engine.


ACTION: Refer to the pages following this TSB article for the updated information.
