Removal and Replacement

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect Air Bypass Valve Assembly connector from the wiring harness.
2. Remove two Air Bypass Valve retaining screws.
3. Remove Air Bypass Valve and gasket.
NOTE: If scraping is necessary, be careful not to damage Air Bypass Valve or throttle body gasket surfaces, or drop material into throttle body.

INSTALLATION

Air Bypass Valve:

1. Ensure that both throttle body and Air Bypass Valve gasket surfaces are clean.
2. Install gasket on throttle body surface and mount Air Bypass Valve Assembly, securing it with two retaining screws. Tighten to 84 lb. in. (9.5 N-m).
3. Connect electrical connector for Air Bypass Valve.
