System Pre-Checks


1. Verify that parking brake is fully released. If parking brake is applied, the BRAKE indicator will be illuminated.
2. Check Brake Fluid Levels.

Note: If the brake fluid level is low in the master cylinder reservoir, the red BRAKE indicator will illuminate. If brake fluid level in the hydraulic control unit reservoir is low, the amber CHECK ANTI-LOCK BRAKE indicator will be illuminated.

3. Verify that all of the following connectors are connected:

- 55-pin connector of computer module.
- 19-pin connector of HCU valve body.
- 4-pin and 7-pin connectors of pump motor relay.
- 3-pin connector of master cylinder reservoir.
- 2-pin connector of HCU reservoir.
- 5-pin connector of main power relay.
- 2-pin connector of each wheel speed sensor.
- 2-pin connector of pedal travel switch.
- 2-pin connector of stoplamp switch.

4. Check that the fuses and diodes are not damaged.
5. Make sure all battery connections are clean and tight.
6. Check ground connections on front end of hydraulic unit and in luggage compartment.
