Replacement Procedures

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect the electrical connector from the air bypass valve.
2. Separate air bypass valve and gasket from throttle body by removing the two retaining bolts.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.

NOTE: If scraping is necessary, DO NOT damage air bypass valve or intake manifold gasket surfaces. Avoid dropping gasket material into manifold passages.

2. Install a new gasket and air bypass valve.
3. Tighten retaining screws to 71-97 in lb (8-11 Nm).
4. Connect air bypass valve electrical connector.
