Throttle Position Sensor: Adjustments

NOTE: Before adjusting throttle position sensor, verify that idle speed and ignition timing are adjusted to specifications. Do not adjust throttle stop screw at throttle lever. This is factory adjusted and should not be tampered with. Doing so may result in throttle body damage.

1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Disconnect electrical connector from throttle position sensor.

3. Insert appropriate thickness gauge between throttle and adjustment screw. Check for continuity between terminals. Use the following chart to determine the need for adjustment.

4. If necessary, adjust rotating sensor in necessary direction.
5. Connect sensor connector.
6. Connect negative battery cable.
