UPPER INTAKE MANIFOLD & THROTTLE BODY ASSEMBLY

1. Disconnect battery ground cable.
2. Label, then disconnect all electrical connectors and vacuum lines from manifold assembly.
3. Release pressure from fuel system at the fuel pressure relief valve using fuel pressure gauge tool T80L-9974-B or equivalent. The fuel pressure relief valve is located on the fuel line in the upper righthand corner of the engine compartment.
4. Disconnect throttle linkage, cruise control and kickdown cables. Loosen, then position aside accelerator cable.
5. Disconnect air hose from crankcase vent hose.
6. Disconnect PCV system by disconnecting hose from upper intake manifold fitting.
7. Disconnect EGR tube from EGR valve.
8. Remove four upper intake manifold mounting bolts, Fig. 4.
9. Remove upper intake manifold assembly.
10. Reverse procedure to install.
