Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect negative battery cable.
2. Remove high tension lead from coil terminal.

Ignitor Wiring Harness.:





3. Disconnect ignitor wiring harness.
4. Remove the two bracket nuts and lift ignition coil and ignitor assembly.

Ignition Coil And Ignitor Assembly:





5. Slide protective cover back and disconnect ignition coil and noise suppressor wiring harness.
6. Remove the noise suppressor.

Ignitor Module And Ignition Coil Assembly:





7. Remove two screws, the ignitor module, bracket, and ignition coil.

INSTALLATION
1. Install ignitor module, bracket and coil on coil mounting bracket and tighten screws.
2. Install noise suppressor.
3. Connect ignition coil and noise suppressor wire harness. Slide protective covering over connector.
4. Install coil and ignitor assembly.
5. Connect ignitor wiring harness.
6. Install high tension lead into coil center terminal.
7. Connect negative battery cable.
