EGR Valve: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

WARNING: Contact with hot EGR components may cause severe burns. Wear protective gloves or allow the vehicle sufficient time to cool.

1. Remove EGR vacuum hose.
2. Remove EGR mounting bolts and remove valve from manifold. Discard gasket.

INSTALLATION
1. Install valve to manifold with new gasket. Torque mounting bolts to 14 - 22 ft lb (20 - 30 Nm).
2. Install vacuum hose. Check EGR operation.
