Child Seat Tether Attachment: Service and Repair
CHILD RESTRAINT TETHER ANCHOR BRACKET1. Open the liftgate and remove the cargo cover.
2. Remove the trim plugs from the cargo area trim panel.
3. Insert a 10 mm spacer between the anchor bracket and the rear cargo area panel.
4. Install the 8 mm retaining bolt, making sure that at least five full threads are engaged in the anchorage. Be sure that the anchorage is within a 30-degree angle, as indicated.
WARNING: When the installation of the anchor bracket is not installed in accordance with the above directions, the degree of efficiency of the anchorage is reduced. Be sure to install the anchor bracket according to the instructions.
