Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Component Location:

1. Disconnect the Idle Air Bypass (IAB) valve assembly connector from the wiring harness.
2. Remove the two IAB valve retaining screws.
3. Remove the IAB valve and gasket.

INSTALLATION


1. Clean the gasket mating surface.

CAUTION: If scraping is necessary, be careful not to damage the idle air bypass valve or throttle body gasket surfaces. Be carful not to drop material into the throttle body.

2. Install valve using a new gasket.
3. Tighten retaining screws to 8 in lb (10 Nm).
