Differential: Service and Repair

DISASSEMBLE

Differential And Gear Set Assembly:

1. Remove rear planetary support, No. 15 needle bearing, park wheel, No. 16 needle bearing, and final drive sun gear by lifting off.
2. Ensure rear planet bushing is aligned with lubrication passage, if not, replace support, as bushing is not serviceable.
3. Ensure snap ring is fully seated in groove.
4. Using suitable screwdriver, remove speedometer drive gear as required.

ASSEMBLE
1. Using suitable soft-faced hammer, tap speedometer gear into place, if removed.
2. Install final drive sun gear, No. 16 needle bearing, park wheel, No. 15 needle bearing, and rear planetary support.
