Cruise Control Vacuum Vent Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Fig. 5 Dump Valve Adjustment:

1. Disconnect vacuum hose (white stripe) from the servo, leading to the dump valve.
2. Connect a hand vacuum pump tool No. 021-00037 or equivalent to the hose, and draw vacuum. If a vacuum can not be obtained, the hose or dump valve is leaking, and should be replaced.
3. Depress brake pedal. Vacuum should be released. If not adjust or replace the dump valve, Fig. 5.
