Piston: Service and Repair
Piston & Rod Assembly:
Assemble the rod to the
piston with the notch on the piston dome on the same side as the button on the
connecting rod identification marks. Assemble piston and rod assembly in engine with notch in dome facing front of engine,
Fig. 12. After installation, check connecting rod big end side clearance. Clearance should be .006-.014 inch.
