Idle Speed/Throttle Actuator - Electronic: Service and Repair

Component Location:

REMOVAL

1. Disconnect electrical connector from air bypass valve assembly.

2. Remove the two air bypass valve retaining bolts.

3. Remove air bypass valve and gasket.

INSTALLATION

1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.
NOTE: If scraping is necessary, DO NOT damage air bypass valve or intake manifold gasket surfaces. Avoid dropping gasket material into manifold passages.

Air Bypass Valve:

2. Install a new gasket and air bypass valve.

3. Tighten retaining screws 71-101 in lb (8-11.5 Nm).

4. Connect electrical connector to air bypass valve assembly.
