Throttle Position Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect Idle Air Bypass (IAB) valve electrical connector.

2. Remove lower IAB valve retaining bolt. Loosen upper bolt from IAB valve.

3. Rotate IAB valve away to access the throttle position (TP) screws.

4. Remove TP sensor screws and sensor.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean IAB valve mating surfaces, being careful not to damage surfaces or drop material into the throttle body.

2. Install TP sensor and screws.
Tighten to 24.8-27.4 in lbs (2.8-3.1 Nm).

3. Rotate IAB valve back into position.
Tighten IAB valve screws to 71-102 in lbs (8-11 Nm).

4. Connect IAB valve electrical connector.
