Shift Cable: Service and Repair

REMOVAL

Transmission Shifter/Linkage Assembly:






1. Remove the shifter assembly.
2. Remove the shift cable to shifter retaining bolts.
3. Remove one shifter assembly to sealing tub retaining screw.
4. Separate the tub from the shifter. Disconnect the shift cable from the lever ball stud.

INSTALLATION
1. Connect the shifter cable to the lever ball stud.
2. Put the tub and the shifter together.
3. Install the shifter assembly to sealing tub retaining screw.
4. Install the shift cable to shifter retaining bolts.
5. Install the shifter assembly.
