Timing Chain: Service and Repair

After removing front cover as outlined above, crank engine until timing marks are aligned as shown in
Fig. 8. Remove camshaft sprocket retaining bolt, washer, fuel pump eccentric and spacer, if equipped. Slide both sprockets and chain forward and remove them as an assembly.
Reverse procedure to install chain and sprockets. Ensure timing marks are aligned.
