Ignition Coil: Service and Repair

Spark Plug Wire Routing:

REMOVAL

- Disconnect spark plug wires from ignition coils.

NOTE: When removing wires from ignition coil, squeeze the locking tabs of coil wire retainer by hand. Twist and pull on boot until free.

- Disconnect engine harness electrical connector from ignition coil.
- Remove ignition coil assembly by removing the retaining screws.

INSTALLATION

- Mount ignition coil to bracket.
- Tighten retaining screws to specification.
- Connect engine harness electrical connector to ignition coil.
- Install spark plug wires.
