Map Light: Description and Operation

Voltage is present at the Map Lamp Switches at all times through the ROOM Fuse. The map lamp bulbs are grounded through the Dome/Map Lamp Assembly.

Moving the right or left Map Lamp Switch closes that Switch's contacts. Current flows through the ROOM Fuse, the Map Lamp Switch and map lamp bulb to ground. The Map Lamp illuminates.

Moving the switch back again causes the Switch contacts to open and turn off the Map Lamp.
