ENGINE - CYLINDER HEAD AND PISTON MODIFICATION - 2.5L

ISSUE:
Modifications have been made to the cylinder head and piston sets to improve their productivity and reduce engine knocking noise. The engine knocking noise is caused by carbon buildup within the combustion chamber.

This TSB is being published to clarify the proper cylinder head and piston set service parts application according to the vehicle build date for 1993 and 1994 model year Probes with a 2.5L engine.

FAILURE TO FOLLOW THE PROPER SERVICE PARTS APPLICATION DESCRIBED IN THIS BULLETIN MAY AFFECT ENGINE PERFORMANCE.
