Output Shaft: Service and Repair
DISASSEMBLE1. Place shift forks in Neutral position.
NOTE: Neutral position is when gear selector interlock sleeve and gearshift selector arm are aligned.
Exploded View Of Mainshaft:
2. Turn 3-4 shift fork away from 1-2 shift fork, then slide 3-4 shift fork and gearshift selector arm off gearshift shaft and offset lever.
3. Use punch to remove gear selector interlock sleeve roll pin. Discard pin.
4. Slide gear selector interlock sleeve, then the 1-2 shift fork off gearshift shaft and offset lever.
5. Remove gearshift shaft support roll pin with punch. Discard roll pin.
6. Remove shaft support from shaft and offset lever.
ASSEMBLE
1. Slide shaft support onto shaft and offset lever, then press in new gearshift shaft support roll pin.
2. Slide 1-2 shift fork onto gearshift shaft and offset lever, then the gear selector interlock sleeve onto shaft and lever.
3. Press in new gear selector interlock sleeve roll pin, then slide 3-4 shift fork and gearshift selector arm onto gearshift shaft and offset lever.
4. Turn 3-4 shift fork until it is in Neutral position.
