A/C MANIFOLD AND TUBE

Removal

1. Discharge the A/C system system into an approved recovery device.
2. Remove the bolt retaining the A/C compressor suction manifold and tube to the A/C compressor head of the A/C compressor.
3. Use an appropriate spring lock coupling disconnect tool to disconnect the other ends of the A/C compressor suction manifold and tube and A/C compressor to condenser discharge line.
4. Remove any bracket attachments and then remove A/C compressor suction manifold and tube from the vehicle.

Installation

1. Lubricate the new 0-rings with clean refrigerant oil and position them in the 0-ring grooves of the A/C compressor head.
2. Position the A/C compressor suction manifold and tube to the A/C compressor head of the A/C compressor making sure the manifold pilots are positioned in the compressor port openings. Install the manifold to compressor bolt and tighten the manifold to compressor bolt to 18-23 Nm (13-18 lb-ft).
3. Connect the other ends of the A/C compressor suction manifold and tube and A/C compressor to condenser discharge line using new lubricated 0-rings.
4. Install any bracket attachments disconnected during removal.
5. Leak test, evacuate, and charge the A/C system.
