Electronic Brake Control Module: Description and Operation

The anti-lock brake control module controls the entire anti-lock brake system. The anti-lock brake control module continuously calculates wheel speed and vehicle speed based on information it receives from the front and rear wheel sensors. The module has self-diagnostic capabilities and stores diagnostic trouble codes in its memory. If a diagnostic trouble code is present in module memory, the instrument panel ANTI-LOCK indicator will illuminate when the engine is running.
