How to Use Pinpoint Tests

NOTE: Do not proceed to any pinpoint test unless directed to do so.

These tests are specific for each code. However, jumping to a pinpoint test as a first step can be misleading. The tests have been written under the assumption that the System Pre-Check has been performed and passed. Inspection and Verification (Start Testing Here)

At times, running completely through the pinpoint test will not lead to problem resolution. Often, the concern is due to an intermittent connection, termination, or circuit concern. Refer to the Intermittent Diagnosis Guides when situations like this arise. Intermittent Diagnosis Procedure

It should be also noted that several circuits pass through one or more interconnections between components. These are also areas of potential concern and should be considered.
