Q1 Switch Check, Default Sensor Position

- Disconnect acceleration sensor harness connector.

- Remove the acceleration sensor from the vehicle.

- Inspect harness connector and sensor connector cavity for water or terminal corrosion.

- Place the acceleration sensor on a level surface.

- Measure the resistance between sensor Pin 1 (Circuit 886) and Pin 3 (Circuit 836).

- Measure the resistance between sensor Pin 2 (Circuit 887) and Pin 3 (Circuit 836).

- Are both resistances measured less than 5 ohms?

YES -- Go to Q2. Q2 Switch Check, Sensor Raised 38.0mm

NO -- All switches should be closed. Replace sensor. Go to Q11. Q11 Check For DTC Repeatability
