Blower Motor: Service and Repair


REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
1. Disconnect battery ground cable.

NOTE: On some models removal of the vacuum reservoir assembly forward of blower will be necessary.

2. Disconnect blower motor electrical connector.
3. Disconnect blower motor housing tube at blower motor.
4. Remove electrical connector from blower motor resistor.
5. Remove nut (located in passenger compartment to the right of heater core access cover) from bottom of plenum assembly. Remove bolt from heater blower assembly in engine compartment.
6. Disconnect air cooling tube from blower motor.

Blower Motor Replacement (With A/C):





7. Remove blower motor attaching screws and the blower motor, Fig. 6.
8. Reverse procedure to install.
