Removal and Replacement

REMOVE

1. Disconnect electrical connector from idle air control valve assembly.

2. Remove the two bypass valve retaining screws.

3. Remove idle air control valve and gasket.

INSTALL

1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.

NOTE: If scraping is necessary, DO NOT damage idle air control valve or intake manifold gasket surfaces. Avoid dropping gasket material into manifold passages.

2. Install a new gasket and idle air control valve.

3. Install retaining screws and tighten to 9.5 Nm (7 ft lb).

4. Connect electrical connector to idle air control valve assembly.
