DR1 - DTC 0340: Start Engine

- Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 0340 indicates that Self-Test has detected a Camshaft Position (CMP) Sensor circuit failure.

Possible Causes:

- CID circuit open.
- CID circuit shorted to GND.
- CID circuit shorted to PWR.
- SIG RTN open (VR type).
- PWR GND open (HALL type).
- VPWR open (HALL type).
- Damaged CMP Sensor.
- Damaged PCM.

- Start engine.

- Will the engine start?

YES -- Go to DR2. DR2 - Clear and Attempt to Regenerate DTC 0340

NO -- DTC 0340 is not the cause of the No Start. Go to Symptom Flowcharts to diagnose the No Start symptom. Testing and Inspection
