FF1 - Verify Electrical Function



Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1650 indicates Power Steering Pressure (PSP) signal out of Self-Test range. DTC P1651 indicates Power Steering Pressure (PSP) signal malfunction.

Possible Causes:

- PSP switch damaged.
- SIG RTN circuit open or shorted to GND.
- PSP signal circuit open or shorted to SIG RTN.
- Damaged PCM.

- Key On, Engine Running.

- Access PSP PID with a Scan Tool while turning the steering wheel back and forth.

- Does the Scan Tool indicate ON/OFF switching?

YES -- GO to Pinpoint Test Z for intermittent input wiggle procedure. Z - Intermittent

NO -- GO to FF2. FF2 - Check PSP Switch Operation
