Generic Scan Tool

These are general instructions to reset Powertrain Control Module (PCM). refer to the manufacturer's manual for specific instructions.

- Turn key "Off".

- Perform the necessary vehicle preparation and vehicle inspection.

- Connect scan tool to Diagnostic Link Connector (DLC).

- Turn ignition key to the "On" position or start vehicle (depending on the Pinpoint/diagnostic instructions for the type of data requested).

- Verify tool is connected and communicating properly.

- Perform reset.

- When finished, turn the ignition key to the "Off" position.

- Disconnect scan tool from vehicle.
