EGR Control Solenoid: Testing and Inspection

Disconnect the vacuum hoses.
^
Blow into the
EGR valve and verify that air does not flow.
^
Disconnect the
EGR valve electrical connector.
EGR Solenoid Control Valve:
^
Apply battery voltage and ground to the EGR control solenoid valve as shown.
^
Blow through the EGR control solenoid valve and verify that air flows.
^
If not as specified, replace the EGR control solenoid valve.
