NOTE: Special Tool Required. MAP/BP Sensor Tester 105-00001. This tool converts the frequency output of the Manifold Absolute Pressure (MAP) / Barometric Pressure (BARO) sensor to analog DC signal, and verifies the sensor reference voltage is within normal parameters.

NOTE: Measure several known good MAP/BP sensors on available vehicles. The measured voltage will be typical for your location on the day of testing.

- Key "ON".

- MAP/BARO tester connected.

- Digital Volt/Ohm Meter (DVOM) connected to MAP/BARO tester.

- Measure MAP/BARO sensor voltage on customer vehicle.

- Is DVOM voltage in range for your altitude?

Yes -- Remove MAP/BARO tester. Go to DF4. DF4

No -- Remove MAP/BARO tester. Go to DF5. DF5
