KE37 - Check Idle Speed

- Key "OFF".

- Install a tachometer.

- Check engine rpm while engine is at operating temperature and at idle.

- Is idle rpm within range?

Yes -- Idle is OK with no drive symptom: Testing complete. Clear Keep Alive Memory. Clearing Keep Alive Memory (KAM) and Relearn Procedure

Idle is OK with a drive symptom: Go to Diagnosis by Symptom (Diagnostic Routines) and follow chart for symptom. Symptom Related Diagnostic Procedures
