Throttle Body: Service and Repair

Fuel Delivery System:

REMOVAL

1. Remove throttle body air intake tube from throttle body.

2. Disconnect accelerator cable.

3. Disconnect fuel charging wiring connectors from position sensor and idle air control valve.

4. Remove four throttle body retaining nuts.

5. Remove and discard throttle body gasket between throttle body and upper intake manifold.

INSTALLATION

1. Clean gasket mating surfaces.

2. Install throttle body with new throttle body gasket on the the four studs of the upper intake manifold.

3. Connect fuel charging wiring connectors to the throttle position sensor and idle air control valve.

4. Install accelerator cable.

5. Install throttle body air intake tube.
