Speedometer Gear, M/T: Service and Repair

REMOVAL
1. Remove screw from speedometer driven gear retainer assembly using 7 mm socket.

Speedometer Driven Gear Service:






2. Using screwdriver, carefully pry on speedometer retainer, then remove retainer and driven gear assembly. Refer to the Speedometer Driven Gear Service image for disassembly and assembly of gear.


INSTALLATION
1. Align relief area in retainer with attaching screw bore; then, using 13/16 inch deep well socket, tap assembly into bore.
2. Torque screw to 12-24 in lbs.
