NC2 - Service Code 226: IDM Circuit Failure



Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) 226 indicates the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) did not receive the Ignition Diagnostic Monitor (IDM) signal from the Ignition Control Module (ICM) in Key On Engine Off Self-Test.

Possible causes:

- Open harness (IDM or IGN GND circuit).

- Shorted harness.

- ICM.

- Does engine start?

Yes -- Go to NC4. NC4 - Continuous Codes 212: Check IDM Circuit Continuity

No -- Refer to Ignition Systems for Electronic Ignition Diagnostics.
