Federal

REMOVAL
1. Disconnect Ignition Control Module (ICM) electrical connector.

NOTE: To disconnect the module connector, push on the connector where it says PUSH, then slide connector from module.

2. Remove ICM/heatsink assembly retaining screws and remove from fender apron.
3. Remove the ICM retaining screws and separate the module from the heatsink.

INSTALLATION
1. Clean the mating surfaces. Apply dielectric silicone (Ford D7AZ-19A331-A, or equivalent) to the ICM base.
2. Place module in heatsink assembly.
3. Tighten retaining screws to 15-35 lb. in. (1.7-4.0 N-m).
4. Install ICM/heatsink assembly on the fender apron and install the retaining screws.
5. Tighten the screws to 80-124 lb. in. (9-14 N-m).
6. Connect the ignition module electrical connector.
