Drive belts have an automatic drive belt tensioner and do not require adjustment. The automatic belt tensioner is a spring loaded device which sets and maintains drive belt tension. Drive belt should not require tension adjustment for the life of the drive belt. The tensioner has a drive belt wear indicator mark. If the indicator mark is not approximately in the middle between tabs on the front cover, the belt is worn or an incorrect belt is installed.
